The wind was strong when I launched and looked like it would get stronger. I took off to avoid unfavorable launch conditions. Strong thermals, combined with strong winds created some turbulent conditions, but nothing that created any collapses. I attempted to go north to the mountains, but at about 1000 feet away I hit strong sink and turned away. Overall, it was an enjoyable two-hour flight.
